Most Friesian Sporthorse inspections are judged by the FSA's Breeding Director Gigha Steinman Moldrik, which keeps the scoring and standards consistent from one inspection to another. On occasions when alternate judges are used they are chosen to have skills and training comparable to Gigha’s.
Gigha has more than 30 years experience attending Warmblood inspections and honing her skills. She also has an extensive background in USDF’s DSHB “in-hand” shows and has bred and presented multiple Regional Champions, Reserve Champions, and national award winners. In 2014 she was awarded a grant from the Dressage Foundation to attend the 2014 USDF Sport Horse Breeding Judging Seminar in Pennsylvania. She has also taken college-level classes on judging and conformation analysis. Her article “Beauty and Biomechanics Can Work Together” appeared in the September/ October 2014 issue of Warmbloods Today magazine. Her dedication to the Friesian Sporthorse and her adherence to the breed standard makes her a valuable asset as a Friesian Sporthorse inspector. She began judging Friesian Sporthorse inspections in 2013.
